Nevada County Points of Historical Interest are sites, buildings, features, or events that are of local significance and speak to a larger collective response to the natural world, the universe, and the mystical nature of reality.

How does a community speak to the experience of living? This initiative is not only concerned with designating historical sites for educational purposes, but it is also focussed on preserving our community’s rich oral history.  It is only through engaging with our collective and personal histories that an understanding of place can begin to take shape.
